Be a cordial neighbor to your farmer and a good gardener by using certified seed potatoes. Using potatoes from the store or non-inspected potatoes for your gardening is how diseases are spread. Potatoes are in the Solanaceae family and affect other crops health and vitality.
These potatoes are arguably the best seed for your gardens. These farmers grow these potatoes with the intention that they will be viable seed stock. They come from a family farm in the heart of Montana with long and historic roots in the Gallatin Valley. The single drop seed piece gives your potato plant the vigor and best chance to produce a gorgeous set of potatoes for you to harvest, while reducing any chance for disease.
I have to charge a bit more for the fingerlings. It’s been difficult to grade out the Fusarium from storage.
AMAROSA
This is one of most eye catching potatoes I’ve ever seen. It was developed by the Tri-State Potato Breeding program and released in 2010. This fingerling cultivar produces small oblong, deep red to burgundy skinned tuber with shallow eyes. The flesh of the potato is psychedelic light pink and red marble. Amarosa is also high in potassium, iron, antioxidants, and vitamin C and B6. This variety does best boiled, baked, roasted, sautéd, and grilled.

We will definitely use Johnny’s seed potatoes for all our future planting needs!! It doesnt get better than this!
