These tubers are arguably the best seed stock for your gardens or nurseries. Every tuber is hand selected to give your potato plant the best chance to produce a gorgeous set of potatoes for you to harvest while reducing any chance for diseases. We grow these potatoes with the intention they will be viable seed stock. Montana’s rigorous and intense seed certification program and the short growing season/high altitude makes for some of the best seed potato growing conditions. Be a cordial neighbor to your farmer and a good gardener by only using certified seed potatoes. Using potatoes from the grocery store or non-certified potatoes for your gardening is how diseases are spread.
Another potato released by University of Idaho, Oregon State University, and Washington State University. This cultivar produces lots and lots of little purple skinned, purple fleshed fingerlings. These potatoes have more antioxidants compared to other varieties. Moreover, this cultivar retains its color brilliance better than other varieties when baked, boiled or fried. Like most fingerlings this is not easy to store long term and is susceptible to common scab from soils.

These are great seed potatoes of an amazing & fun potato variety!! They are great for roasting(whole or cut), boiling/salad, mashed, fried, or even mini bakers!! They have a great nutty/earthy taste & are super versatile-while also being fun!! My kids love purple potatoes & these keep their color through all cooking-it doesn’t fade or wash out!!
They do need a bit more care in storage-but its not that hard, just place in layers with sand in a bucket or tote(fresh play sand is best…then use that sand to amend next years soil & buy more for next years storage!!), place those buckets/totes in the garage or basement & they will last 4-6mos without issue!!
